JESUS "CHUY" R. GONZALEZ
Jesus "Chuy' R. Gonzalez, 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Mr. Gonzalez or "Chuy" as he was known by his family and friends was born in Laredo , Texas and was a lifelong resident. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a lovely soul. He always cared for his wife, the love of his life, until his last days. He enjoyed his work as a Truck Driver, until his retirement. He drove a cement truck for Ready Mix and numerous other construction companies. He was the joy of the family and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Encarnacion Gonzalez and Isabel R. Gonzalez.
Brother, Dario Gonzalez Sr.
Sister, Ana Maria Reyes.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 67 years of marriage, Julia F. Gonzalez.
Children, Jesus (Teresa) Gonzalez Jr., Ofelia (Calvin) Bradley, Jose Encarnacion (Antonia) Gonzalez, Gerardo (Yolanda) Gonzalez, Irene (Ruben) Paredes, Juan (Noemi) Gonzalez, Luis E. Gonzalez, Zenaida Gonzalez and Oscar (Alma) Gonzalez.
Grandson, Jesus Ramon Gonzalez.
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Siblings, Antonia Tovar, Ma Luisa Brooks and Alejandro Gonzalez.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased officiated by Manuel "Meme" Degollado will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
