Jesus Valdez Jesus Valdez, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at a local hospital. Mr. Valdez was born in Villa Hidalgo, Coahuila, MX and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Jesus and Eufemia Valdez. Sons, Demetrio Valdez and Jesus Valdez Jr. Grandchildren, Leonel Arispe Jr., Yolanda Valdez and Maria Magdalena Garza. Brothers and sisters, Gilberto Valdez, Carmen Valdez, Horacio Valdez, Rosa Valdez, Clemente Valdez and Israel Valdez. He is survived by his loving wife, of 58 years of marriage, Elvira C. Valdez. Children, Jose Jesus Valdez, Maria De Los Angeles (Jesus) Arias, Elsa (Jorge) Garza, San Juanita (Fidel) Moreno, America Valdez, Rose Marie Valdez and Ana Luisa (Pepe) Arispe. Son-In-Laws, Leonel Arispe and Homero Garcia. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters, Griselda Tapia and Mary Lou Negrete. Also surviving him are numerous nephews, neices, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Religious Service will be held at 7 p.m. officiated by Pastors Pedro Salce and Manuel Del Toro of Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Nacimiento in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A chapel service will also be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015. Committal services and interment will be held at a later date.
