JESUSITA M. "TIA CHUY" GIL Jesusita M. "Tia Chuy" Gil, 95, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Gil was born in San Antonio, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Margarita Mendoza. Husband Triunfo Gil. Daughter, Maria Magdalena Gil. Brothers, Eugenio Mendoza, Juan Mendoza, Bonifacio Mendoza, Miguel Angel Mendoza, Pedro Mendoza, Onesimo Mendoza and Agustin Mendoza. Sisters, Maria Agustina Mendoza and Sofia M. Macias. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gloria M. Mendoza. Also surviving her are numerous of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
