JOAQUIN ZAPICO JR.

Joaquin Zapico Jr., 64, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Mr. Zapico was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joaquin and Maria de la Luz Zapico.

Brothers, David Zapico and Ruben Zapico.

He is survived by his loving wife, Araceli Cortez.

Children, Daniela Zapico, Joaquin (Terry) Zapico III, Johnathan Zapico, Alondra Zapico, Kevin Zapico, Mayra Castro and Edwin Mercado.

2 grandchildren.

Brothers, Jose Luis (Beatriz) Zapico, Juan (Irma) Zapico, Daniel (Lourdes) Zapico and Jacobo Zapico.

Sisters, Olga (Humberto) Trevino, Rosaura (Frank) Escobedo and Loyda (Tomas) Lombrana.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . A chapel service was officiated at the funeral home before committal services and interment  which followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Joaquin Zapico III, Jonathan Zapico, Jose Luis Zapico, Juan Zapico, Daniel Zapico, Daniela Zapico, Joel Cortez and David Garcia.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Humberto Trevino, Frank Escobedo, Tomas Lombrana and Jacob Zapico.
