JOSE ALVARADO Jose Alvarado , 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at a local retirement home. Mr. Alvarado was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Alvarado worked with Union Pacific Railroad for over 37 years, where he worked as a track man. He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Andrea Alvarado. His loving wife, Guadalupe Alvarado. Son, Ramon Hector Alvarado Sisters Maria Reed, Petra Castro, Marsha Alvarado and Aurelia Mejia,. Brothers David Alvarado, Arturo Alvarado and Manuel Alvarado. Sons-in-law, Leonardo Gonzalez and Arturo Gomez. He is survived by his loving children, Jose Luis (Mary) Alvarado, Daniel (Marlyn) Alvarado, Lupita (James) Sanders, Roberto (Cynthia) Alvarado, Teresa (Antonio) Colecio, Ricardo (Terry) Alvarado, Frances Gonzalez, Rene (Sonia) Alvarado. 17 Grandchildren 17 Great Grandchildren And his sisters Beatrice Jensen and Estella Kelly. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
