JOSE "JOE" BUSTOS Jose Bustos or "Joe" as he was know by all his family and friends went to be with Our Lord on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the age of 83. Jose "Joe" Bustos was born in Crystal City, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. Mr Bustos was a Veteran of World War II in which he served with the United States Army from 1945 to 1948. After his tour of duty, he returned to laredo and had been employed with Uniroyal Tire Company proving grounds as a test driver for over 28 years of service. He had also held a partime position at "El Metro" as a bus driver for numerous years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Josefina Bustos. Son, Jose "Nune" Bustos. Brothers, Pedro (Isabel) Bustos, Carlos and Concepcion Bustos. Sister, Maria B. Gonzalez. Sister-in-Law, Pauline Vargas. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years of marriage, Tina V. Bustos. Children, Alicia B. (Mario) Gutierrez and Alberto Bustos. Grandchildren, Rene (Becky) Gutierrez and Joe Gutierrez. Brother and Sisters, Simon "Mon" (Alicia M.+) Bustos Jr., Estela (Sixto) Lopez and Adela (Javier) Pena. Brothers-in-Law, Alberto Vargas Sr. and Viviano Gonzalez. Sisters-in-Law, Manuela "Mela" G. Chavarria and Alicia G. Castillo. A special gratiute is offered to Dr. Eduardo Miranda and his staff for all their undivided attention and also to the staff at Excellent Health Care home health for all their care. Also numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
