JOSE "PEPE" C. GAMEZ JR.
05/30/60-02/17/22
This wonderful, brilliant soul was reunited in heaven with the people he loved the most and with all his heart, his father and mother, Jose C. Gamez, Sr. and Irma C. Gamez on February 17, 2022.
As his father and mother, he lived his life on his own terms and to the fullest, raised and molded into a life where he acquired strengths of hard work, dedication, innovation and charisma. Being the third generation in his family's produce business, he was able to use these strong qualities to establish recognition in his career to levels beyond what even the closest to him could even try to master. His very down to earth and generous personality allowed him to make numerous friends through business and personal relationships. We know that all of them will miss him dearly and we know that he cherished every single one of them. No matter where he went, he always made new friends. He loved what he did for a living, as he always sought ways to being better at it. His optimism and enthusiasm always pushed him to strive for success, even when the situation appeared to have no resolution. Although he created and participated in several community projects and donations, he was always one to never seek recognition, credit, attention or compensation. He did so many good things for others and all from the heart as he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose C. Gamez Sr. and Irma C. Gamez and his grandson, Arturo J. Gamez, along with cousins, aunts and uncles who all welcomed him in heaven.
He is survived by his children, Cristina Gamez, Jose C. Gamez III (Lissette) and Gina Gamez Lucio (Omar), his other 10 grandchildren, Jose C. Gamez IV (Jojo), Omarsito, Khloe, Davey, Elias, Jacob, Josue, Joy Amira, Pepito and Kaleb. Other very special extended family include James R. Henry III, Alyssa Gamez, Aislinn Gamez and San Juanita Gamez along with others whom he considered family Antonio Rubio, Marco A. Rubio, Tano, Kukis, Katita and Paco. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Diana (Juan) Hernandez, Juan Gamez, Raul (Patricia) Gamez, Sandra G. Rodriguez, Elizabeth G. Henry and Javier C. Gamez.
