JOSE MARIA CALDERON Jose Maria Calderon, 83, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Flores was born in Benavides, Texas, and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for sometime. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Calderon, Sr. and Tomasa D. Calderon. Sisters, Teresa Molina, Guadalupe Rios and Brother, Manuel Calderon, Jr. Grandson, Jose Maria Calderon, III. and granddaughter, Sarah E. Aguirre. He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years of marriage, Librada "Libby" Calderon. Sons and daughters, Maria Magdalena (Norberto) Aguirre, Jose Maria (Rachel G.) Calderon, and Jose Antonio (Maria Magdalena) Calderon. 7 grandchildren, Melissa R. (Wesley) Dunlap, Elizabeth A. Aguirre, Rebecca Lizette Calderon, Roy A. Calderon and Brittany Becker, Arlene Lizette Calderon, Jannaye R. Calderon and Andrew Rocha. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
