JOSE DIAZ JR.
Jose Diaz Jr., 83, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Diaz was born in Islitas, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He was employed by UISD, for over 15 years, as a Custodian, at Finley Elementary School.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He also enjoyed watching his Texas teams play, the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Texans, to name a few.
Mr. Diaz will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Diaz.
His beloved wife, Elisa Valdez Diaz.
Brothers, Martin Diaz and Rogelio Diaz.
Sister, Manuela Diaz.
He is survived by his children, Anna Rosa (Gumersindo) Lozano, Jose Antonio (Sylvia) Diaz, Ricardo Diaz and Mary Diaz (Martin Alvarez).
11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Arturo (Ana) Diaz.
Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m., in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m., on Monday, April 23, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
