Jose Angel Fernando Maciel Jr., 47, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Texsan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Mr. Maciel was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas and was a hardcore Patriots fan for many years. He graduated from Martin High School in 1990 and later became employed at Select /LPE Inc. Powerlines and Communications. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leandro Garza and Agustina Garza, as well as, Celestino and Guadalupe Maciel.

He is survived by his parents, Fernando and Norma Maciel.
Parents-in-Law, Martha (Eliazar) Valenciano Flores.
Sisters, Candy (Juan) Ramirez Jr., Esmy (Armando) Valadez and Osiel (Cynthia) Maciel.
His loving wife, Angelica Maria Maciel.
Children, Gerardo (Linda) Maciel, Angel Ramirez, Kevin Maciel and Orlando Maciel.
Grandchildren, Sammy Maciel, Alexsia Maciel, Brandon Maciel and Bryon Maciel.
Nieces and nephews, Karina Rodriguez (Roberto Lucio), Roberto "RJ" Rodriguez Jr., Kayla Valadez, Jose Juan Ramirez III, Juanita Ramirez, Armando Valadez Jr., Joselyn Ramirez, Tyler Valadez, Ashley Maciel and Aileah Maciel.
Great niece, Kendra Nicole Lucio "La Princess".

Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
The Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Methodist Texsan Hospital at San Antonio, the Staff and Nurses on the 2nd Floor, ICU unit, who are known for TEAMWORK. The Family would also like to thank Dr. Patricio De Hoyos, Respiratory Technicians, Josh, Ivan and Jim,Nurse, Leonel Lincoln and Nurse, Jason Cortez; and last but not least, the family would also like to thank Mario Dominguez, Jerry Montalvo and the entire LPE Crew.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel Monday, August 26, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church.
