JOSE PAZ GAMEZ
Jose Paz Gamez, 101, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Mr. Gamez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a long life resident. He was a World War II Veteran, he served with the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He was Honorably Discharged and his rank was Sergeant.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita T. Gamez.
Son, Jose Paz Gamez Jr.
Daughter-in-Law, Lydia S. Gamez.
Grandson, Georgie Salinas.
Siblings, Pedro T. (Amelia+) Gamez, Agustina (Roman+) Lopez, Maria Paz Martinez (Twin), Virginia (Enrique+) Martinez, Paula (Jose+) Lerma, Domingo (Eva+) Gamez, Feliciano (Julia) Gamez Jr. and Adan (Esperanza+) Gamez.
He is survived by his children, Gavino (Ermiliana S.) Gamez, Maria M. (Roberto N.) Gomez, Juan M. (Raquel) Gamez, Roberto (Sylvia P.) Gamez, Gloria L. (Ricardo) Garza and Ricardo (Elisa) Gamez.
Grandchildren, Cynthia N.G. (Jorge H.) Ugartechea, Gavino (Juana D.) Gamez Jr., Jose P. (Angela) Gamez III, Maria Cristina (Jose Alfredo) Valdez, Marco Antonio Gamez, Belinda L. (Alfredo) Posadas, Marisa (Pedro A.) Gonzalez, Juan M. Gamez Jr., Nora Gamez, Mario A. (Christina) Gamez, Roberto (Raquel) Gamez Jr., Julia G. (Raul) Morales, Juanita G. Gamez, Ricardo (Martha) Garza, Gloria Leticia Garza, Matthew Garza, Mariana (Esteban) Arredondo, Kassandra (Daniel) Carranza, Elizabeth Gamez, Franchesca Gamez and Joselynn Gamez.
36 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Daughter-in-Law, Maria Christina Gamez.
Siblings, Agustin (Alicia) Gamez, Eva (Eustolio) Rossel and Basilia Gamez.
Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 departing from the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave
. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Gavino Gamez, Juan M. Gamez, Roberto Gamez, Ricardo Gamez, Jose P. Gamez III, Ricardo Garza and Roberto Gamez Jr.
