JOSE RUBEN HERRERA Jose Ruben Herrera, 60, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Herrera was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Sofia Herrera. Brother, Jorge Luis Herrera. He is survived by his father Jose Herrera Jr. Sons and daughters, Jose Angel Herrera, Marina (Antonio) Herrera, Sofia Herrera, Ruben Herrera and Alejandro Herrera. Brothers and sisters, Jose Angel Herrera, Olinda (Rito) Sanchez, Tomasa Gonzalez, Sara (Ruben) Herrera, Rosa Herrera and Mariana (Michael) Herrera. Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City, Texas.
