Jose L. Cadena, 68, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Mr. Cadena was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Eulalia Cadena.

His beloved wife, Irma Yolanda Cadena.

Brother, Romeo Cadena Jr. 

Sister, Martha Cadena.

He is survived by his daughters, Yolanda Christina (Juan) Cadena Gonzalez, Veronica (Saul) Cadena Pichardo and Angelica (Octavio Rodriguez) Cadena.

Grandchildren, Juan Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Analucia Gonzalez, Paulina Pichardo, Sara Pichardo and Rodrigo Rodriguez.

Brother, Hector (Aurora) Cadena.

Sisters, Liliana Bazadoni and Maria Eugenia (Oscar) Pollorena.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
