JOSE LUIS "TIO PAPI" LOPEZ
Jose Luis "Tio Papi" Lopez, 62, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mr. Lopez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Nicolas Lopez.
Brother, Javier Lopez.
Sister, Rosalinda Zamora.
Godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Guadalupe Ramos.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Lopez, Alicia ( Arturo) Ledesma and Nora (Joel) Pompa.
Eleven grandchildren.
One grandson.
Mother, Dominga L. Lopez.
Brothers and sisters, Juana L. (Jose) Campos, Maria Angelica Ortiz, Olga L. (Pedro) Gomez, Maria Guadalupe Limon, Victor Manuel Lopez and Rolando Lopez.
Eighty grand nephews and nieces.
Twenty nine nephews and nieces.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
