JOSE "JOE" MARQUEZ, JR. Jose Marquez, 43, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Marquez was born in Chicago, IL. and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was always full of life and energy and enjoyed an occasional daily prank, he always enjoyed life to the fullest. Extreme worker, he worked since he was 12 years never missed a day of work.His specialty was landscaping, he operated Hollywood Landscaping of Laredo for over 20 years. Also, an avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing and watching all kind of sports...especially the Dallas Cowboys and his San Antonio Spurs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Cruz and Virginia M. Marquez. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years of marriage, Elizabeth M. Marquez. Children, Debra L. Marquez (Jesus Garcia), Elizabeth A. Marquez, Kimberly J. Marquez and Jose G. Marquez. Grandchildren, Adolfo Garza, Jr., Kayla Garza, Joseph Garza, Giselle Pacheco, Clarissa Pacheco, Javier Pacheco, III. and Nathan J. Pacheco. Brothers and sisters, Alicia (Felix) Limon, Virginia (Oscar) Martinez and Veronica (Gilbert) Lucio. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
