JOSE R. MARTINEZ JR.
Jose R. Martinez Jr., 83, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019, at a local hospital.
Mr. Martinez was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Olivia Teresa Martinez.
Parents, Jose G. Martinez and Benita R. Martinez.
Sister, Carmelita Mrtinez.
Brothers, Pedro Martinez and Alvaro Martinez.
Cousin, Josefina Servantes.
Nephew, Cristobal Martinez.
Niece, Marissa Alvarez.
Aunts, Fidela Rodriguez, Juanita Rodriguez, Espetacion Rodriguez, Martina Fernandez and Gregoria Rodriguez.
Uncles, Ricardo Rodriguez, Aniceto Rodriguez, Tomas Garza and Jesus Martinez.
He is survived by his children, Jose Martinez III, Rene (Petra) Martinez and Adriana Martinez.
Grandchildren, Gilberto Martinez, Jose Eduardo Martinez IV, Alberto Martinez, Clarissa Martinez, Geraldine Valdez, Crystal Valdez, Bryan Valdez, Brandon Valdez and Aaron Valdez.
Great-grandchildren, Madison Valdez, Mason Ruiz, Degoberto Rodriguez, Andrew Martinez and Kobe Martinez.
Siblings, Carmen (Jose G.+) Salazar, Amelia (Manuel) Martinez, Raul (San Juanita) Martinez, Micaela (Tranquilino) Alvarez, Oscar Martinez, Genoveva Martinez and Rogelio Martinez.
Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
