JOSE "PEPE" MONCIVAIS

Jose "Pepe" Moncivais,82, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Moncivais was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was employed at Doctor's hospital for over 30 years of service up until his retirement. Mr. Moncivais enjoyed playing baseball during his younger years and as a hobby he would fix lawn mowers. He was also employed as a bus driver for the youth groups for San Francisco Javier Catholic Church and San Agustin Catholic Church for several years. He enjoyed helping out the community with anything he could. He was known by many and will be missed greatly.

Mr. Moncivais is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Virginia Moncivais, his sister Enriqueta Garcia, his in-laws Maria Garcia, Ramon Garcia and Eva Gomez, and his great-grandson Jose Luis Moncivais III.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years of marriage, Maria Teresa Moncivais.

His Children, Sylvia Belinda (Juan) Andrade, Jose Luis "Cochi" (Belinda) Moncivais, Marisela (Horace Thorpe) Monsivais and Jaime (Norma) Monsivais.

His siblings, Antonio (Rosa) Moncivais, Maria Trinidad (Cresencio+) Zamora, Sylvia (Juan) Vargas and Praxedis Moncivais.

Also surviving him are his 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Moncivais will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Roberto Andrade, Jaime Andrade, Jorge Andrade, Javier Andrade, Jose Luis Moncivais Jr., A.J. Walker, E.J. Sanchez and Jaime A. Moncivais.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Committal Services and Interment  followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
