JOSE ARTEMIO "PEPITO" GARZA
Jose Artemio "Pepito" Garza went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at the age of 48, in Laredo, Texas.
He was born on the 8th of May, in the year of 1971, to Artemio "Tony" Garza and Maria Alicia Garza. He was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He had a zest for life and an admirable will to live. He enjoyed listening to songs and conversation with family. He cherished his outings with his parents at his side taking in the beauty of nature. His will for life was evident in his daily life, as he overcame any challenge he faced. His kindred spirit was admirable and love was always felt in his presence. His will for life was a true example of a resilient warrior. His presence will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jose Garza.
Paternal grandmother, Maria del Carmen Garza.
Maternal grandfather, Jose Munoz.
He is survived by his parents, Artemio and Maria Alicia Garza.
Maternal Grandmother, Engracia Maldonado Munoz.
Siblings, Hector (Carmen) Garza, Cynthia Manuel Benavides and Sandra (Trever) Kolarov.
Nieces and nephews, Hector Garza Jr., Marco A. Garza, Leilani Benavides, Diego A. Garza, Deandra A. Garza and Trever S. Kolarov.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. and officiated by Deacon Edmundo Lopez in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
