JOSE CHRIS REYES
March 30, 1979 - December 22, 2025
It is with profound sadness to announce the untimely passing of Jose Chris Reyes.
He was a proud graduate of J.W. Nixon School, Class of 1998. He worked with the united Independent School District under the Support Services Department for 19 years. He was a very caring, compassionate and loving man to all who knew him. He is now united with our Lord in paradise and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Maria Idrogo Reyes.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ana Laura Reyes.
His children, Joseph Chris and Julianne Marie Reyes, Lisa (Emilio Morales) Banda, Ramiro Daniel (Ashley) Perez, Rene David (Daniela Briseno) Perez and Anissa Nicole Perez.
His grandchildren, Emilio and Christian Morales, Sofia I. Perez, Mateo and Alaina Cantu.
By his father, Aureliano Jesus Reyes.
Father and mother in law, Federico and Linda Flores.
His brothers and sisters, Celia (Carlos) Ramirez, Jesus David Reyes, Lisa S. (Cesar) Castro and Ernesto M. Reyes.
Also surviving him are his nephews, nieces, other family and many friends.
Thank you to all who have prayed and reached out during this very difficult time to family and friends. Especially UISD and J. W. Nixon Alumni.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service, officiated by Pastor Mary Esparza of Casa de Oracion Church, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
