Jose T. Saavedra's Obituary
JOSE T. SAAVEDRA
Jose T. Saavedra, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.
Mr. Saavedra was born in Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Maria Concepcion "Conchita" Saavedra.
Brothers, Ruben Saavedra, Roberto Saavedra and Humberto Saavedra.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years of marriage, Lidia H. Saavedra.
Children, Norma (Chris) Postell, Lula (Roel) Juarez, Jose Javier (Yolanda) Saavedra, Sergio Saavedra and Gerardo "Jerry" (Ali) Saavedra.
15 Grandchildren and 13 grandchildren.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
