FERNANDO SOTO Fernando Soto, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Soto was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a life-long resident of Laredo. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years of marriage, Esperanza Soto. Sons and Daughters, Fernando (Graciela) Soto, Lydia (Juan Jose) Gonzalez, Arturo Soto, Guadalupe (Miguel) Pichardo, Esther Hernandez and Juanita Soto. Grandchildren, Fernando III, Johnny, Nayely and Arnoldo Soto; Hailey and Treigh Hernandez; Josue Rodolfo and Brianna Alexis Gonzalez. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Armando Hinojosa, Dr. Benson Huang, Dr. Safiq Cheema, Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa and the ICU Staff at Laredo Medical Center. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Religious service was held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 36, 2011 with a religious service officiated by Pastor Veliz of Iglesia Cristiana Misericordia held in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will immediately follow the service in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
