Josefa R. Chapa's Obituary
JOSEFA R. CHAPA
Josefa R. Chapa, 64, was called by the Lord, on Monday, March 20, 2017, in Laredo, Texas.
Ms. Chapa was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
She was a graduate of Martin High School, Class of 1971, and later attended Laredo Junior College, for two years.
She worked and was employed in retail sales at several stores, for over 40 years. During that time, she served in several different positions that included sales and supervisory management areas.
She was an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia and loved coin collecting as a hobby.
She also enjoyed gardening and would dedicate a good number of hours to this pastime.
Her greatest love were her children and grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Esther V. Ramos.
She is survived by her ex-spouse, Raul Y. Chapa.
Children, Raul Ricardo (Cecilia De La Rosa) Chapa and Fernando (Berenice) Chapa.
Grandchildren, Brandon Javier Chapa, Ximena Chapa, Fernanda Chapa and Maximiliano Chapa.
Siblings, Esther R. (Juan) Cisneros Jr., Estella Villarreal, Pablo Ramos Jr. and Matias Ramos.
Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
