JOSEFA L. PECHE

On November 2, 2019, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Josefa Lopez Peche, 95,  passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Laredo Texas.

She was born in Coolidge, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Laredo.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Niceforo Peche, Sr., Sons: Oscar Peche, Ignacio Peche, and Damaso Peche, Grandchildren: Jazmine Peche and Damaso Peche, Jr. and Parents Pablo and Lucia Lopez.

She is survived by her children, Niceforo (Ascension) Peche, Jr., Ignacio d'csd(Carlota) Peche, Pablo (Dora)Peche, Leo (Judy)  Delfina (David) Freeman, Lydia (Roy) Perez, and Melida (Doug) VanCure. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and will be greatly remembered for the advice and unconditional love she gave to her children.

A thank you to Dr. Benson Huang and Dr. Melchor Cardenas for their attention in caring for our dear mother.  We would also like to thank her wonderful and compassionate caregivers Veronica Rodriguez and Inez Valdez as well as the attentive staff from Friendly Care.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
