JOSEFA VALDEZ HERNANDEZ Josefa Valdez Hernandez August 27, 1931 - December 18, 2014 83 yrs old. She died peacefully in the hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Even though she was battling Alzheimer's and dementia her uncanny Witt was enjoyed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leopoldo Hernandez Sr. By her parents: Pedro Valdez and Socorro Ramos Valdez. Brother Pablo Valdez. Sisters: Rebeca Cantu, Dolores Garcia and Maria de Jesus Valdez She is survived by her sister, Concepcion (Norman) Clark. Daughter, Elsa (Alfredo) Villarreal Jr. Grandchildren, Stephanie L. Villarreal, Kasandra Villarreal and Alfredo Villarreal III. Daughter, Maria Letticia Hernandez and Omar Dominguez. Grandchildren, Kimberly Dominguez, Omar Dominguez Jr. and Delora Rene Dominguez. Son, Leopoldo (Sara) Hernandez Jr. Grandchildren Leopoldo A. Hernandez, Bianca C. Hernandez , Anthony Hernandez Also surviving her are aunts, nephews and nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
