JOSEFINA S. ALVARADO Josefina S. Alvarado, 87, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends, after battling alzheimer's and cherishing her last moments with family. Mrs. Alvarado was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Cristobal and Maria De La Paz Serrano. Son, Ernesto (Sandra) Alvarado She is survived by her loving husband Margarito Alvarado Children, Guadalupe Alvarado, Francisco Alvarado, Maria De La Paz Garcia, Margarito Francisco (Noemi) Alvarado, Enrique (Angie) Alvarado, Lucia (Hector) Guardiola, and Jose (Brenda) Alvarado. 22 Grandchildren along with several other great grandchildren Honorary family members are as followed, Anita Granados, Cecilia Romero and all those who gave her special care and attention in her time of need. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
