JOSEFINA ARRIAGA SANTOS
MARCH 18, 1935 – NOVEMBER 16, 2017
Josefina Arriaga Santos, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at a local hospital, surrounded by her family.
Ms.Santos was born in Joyce, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She retired from Laredo Independent School District in June 1998, after 18 years of service with Federal Programs – Migrant Department, under the Leadership of Fernando Cruz. She was a caring, loving and compassionate person who dedicated her life to serving others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo Arriaga and Felipa Martinez.
Sister, Felipa Guerra.
She is survived by her brother, Cristobal Cruz.
Children, Rudy (Sylvia) Santos, Sandra (Rafael) Salazar, Melissa (David) Enriquez, Eduardo (Nora) Santos and Marco (Claudia) Santos.
Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Ms. Santo's Family would like to extend their appreciation to the Staff at Doctor's Hospital, the Home Health Staff, Oscar Gonzalez (RN), for his 10 years of service, Dr. Milton Habers, who provided health care for most of her life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
