DR. JOSEPH QUEZADA, DPM

Dr. Joseph Quezada, DPM, 80, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Mr. Quezada was born in Los Angeles, California and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He graduated from Del Mar high school, in 1964, but spent his life learning!  He obtained a Degree in Zoology from the College of Idaho and attended Medicine school at the College of Podiatric Medicine. He also studied at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He practiced podiatry for almost 50 years, offering care in Laredo, TX, for the past 10 years. Dr. Quezada also served in the military as an Army doctor from 1972-1974 and earned the National Service Defense Medal.  He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sarapio Quezada and his mother Julia G. Quezada.
Twin sister, Eva and many older siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Lechin.
Brother, Mike Quezada.

Nieces, Nancy and Julie.
Son, Marty DeMichelle.

Daughter in law, Lorena DeMichelle.

Granddaughter, Amanda DeMichelle.
Daughter, Sarah Elkins.

Son in law, David Elkins.

Grandchildren, Dylan Elkins and Bella Elkins.
'Adopted' daughter, Selena Garcia.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service will be held at 7 p.m in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Committal services will be held on a later date.
