JUAN MARTIN ARRIAGA Juan Martin Arriaga, 74, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Arriaga was born in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon Mexic o and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas. He will always be remembered as a man that would keep to himself a very respectful and honorable man. He was a great brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will always be remembered as a great man that showed his children to work and to learn what it meant to earn a dollar. We will be always grateful for what he taught his children. Dad will be missed always & remembered by all those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Trinidad Arriaga and Maria De Los Angeles Arriaga Jaime. Sister, Maria De La Luz Rodriguez Arriaga. Uncles, Valentin Arriaga and Salvador Arriaga. Aunt, Hortencia (Julian) Jaime. Cousin, Juan Manuel Arriaga. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years of marriage, Isabel Garza Arriaga. Children, Juan Patricio (Cynthia Vasquez) Arriaga, Jose Luis Arriaga, Julio Cesar (Raquel R.) Arriaga and Rubi (Juan Jose De Alba) Arriaga. Grandchildren, Stephen Arriaga, Julio Cesar Arriaga, Jr., Jose Luis Arriaga, Jr., Roman Refugio Arriaga, Katherine Ann Arriaga, Andrea Isabel Arriaga, Marcela Arriaga and Kayla Itzel De Alba. Sisters, Rosa Maria (Alvino) Santos, Diamantina (Erasmo) Olivo, Hilda Bertha (Remigio) Cisneros, Antonieta Guadalupe Arriaga Alva, and Maria De Los Angeles Flores. Brothers, Trinidad Arriaga, Ramiro (Rosa) Arriaga and Raul Ferrerl (Maria) Arriaga. A special heartfelt gratitude to his cousins, Juan Salvador Arriaga, Juan Gilberto Arriaga and Jesus Sergio Jaime. Uncle, Gilberto (Eva Delia) Arriaga. A special gratitude to his loving Tia Carmen Arriaga. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 departing from funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
