JUAN Manuel CANTERO Juan Manuel Cantero, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at a local hospital. Mr. Cantero was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Teresa Cantero. Daughter, Irma Sylvia Cantero. Brother, Daniel Francisco Mendoza. Sister, Estela Trujillo Trevino. He is survived by his loving wife, Irma R. Cantero. Children, Juan Manuel Cantero Jr., David Antonio Cantero and Daniel Francisco Cantero. Grandchildren, Isabela Nicole Luna, Anthony Albert Luna and Victoria Danielle Luna. Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
