JUAN FRANCISCO CUEVAS

Juan Francisco Cuevas, 80, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Mr. Cuevas was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.

He loved law enforcement, fishing, ranching and had a passion for cooking. He was the owner of Johnny's Smokehouse in Laredo, Texas for numerous years. He prepared all types of meats in his BBQ pit, including wildlife. Mr. Cuevas also owned Los Gatos Ranch where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a Bondsman and served as a Bailiff at one of the County Courts in Laredo. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the chance to know him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Cuevas.

Brother, Gilberto Cuevas Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria F. Cuevas.

Son, Juan F. (Rosie) Cuevas Jr.

Grandsons, Juan F. Cuevas III and Jesus Cuevas.

Sister, Graciela Ramirez (Efraín†).

Also surviving him are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A private Family service will be held at Sinai Presbyterian Church, located at 420 Washington St. in Laredo, Texas 78040.
