Obituary

JUAN FEDERICO "KIKO" MARTINEZ Juan Federico"Kiko" Martinez, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2015 surrounded by all his family at his side after a brave battle with cancer. He worked for Uniroyal Tire Proving Grounds, Johnny Hunter Oil Field Service, Chevron, Pipeline Gas Measurement and Camino Agave. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Francisco Martinez, Sr. and Agustina V. Martinez. Brother, Ramiro Martinez. Grandsons, Johnathon Zabdiel Rincon Martinez and Baby Javier Alejandro Martinez, Jr. Left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children, Elsa Martinez. His Sons and Daughters, Juan Federico (Adriana) Martinez, Jr., Jose Gilberto (Maria Elena) Martinez, Carlos Martinez, Diana Elisa Martinez and Javier Alejandro (Claudia) Martinez. Grandchildren, Jessica (Eddie) Rendon, Jennifer (Gabriel) Ramirez, Elsa Adriana (Julio) Martinez Rangel, Marissa Martinez, Juan Manuel Martinez, Joseph Noel Lara-Martinez, Roel Alejandro Martinez, Kassandra Nicole Martinez, Anthony Alexander Martinez and Christina Michelle Martinez. Great-grandchildren, Alyssa Ramirez, Brandon Ramirez, Derek Ramirez, Yaneli Rangel, Nayeli Rangel and Dayeli Rangel. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Juan Francisco (Andrea) Martinez, Jr., Rosalinda (Mike) Villarreal, Luz Maria (Alfredo) Villarreal, Delia (Luis) Valverde, Juana (Ruben, dec'd) Cadena, Carlota (Juan) Rodriguez, Gerardo (Mari) Martinez, Irma (Cresencio) Ruiz and Maria (Candelario) Rodriguez. Also surviving him are many nephews, nieces, other relatives and several friends. A special heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Claudia Mercado, Dr. John Knecht, and Doctors Hospital ICU Staff for all the attention and care of our loved one. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
