JUAN GALLEGOS JR. Juan Gallegos, Jr., 37, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at a local hospital. Mr. Gallegos was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Florencio and Odilia Vargas, Sr. Paternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Maria Odilia Barrera. Aunts and Uncles, Maria Teresa Ramirez, Florencio Vargas, Jr., Leopoldo (Margarita) Barrera, Jr., Ricardo Barrera, San Juana Cruz and Maria Eugenia Segura. He is survived by his parents, Jorge and Maria De Jesus Barrera, Sr. Siblings, Armando Gallegos, Sandra (David) Reyes, Jorge Omar Barrera, Jr., Mary Alice (Robert) Esparza, Jr. and Maria Teresa Barrera. Nephews and Nieces, Juan (Kourtney) Puente, Jr., Victor Exiquio Puente, Ashlee Emma Puente, Alyssa Brianna Gallegos, Kailyn Nicole Barrera, Armando Gallegos, Jr. and Maisie Lynn Esparza. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Winder Vasquez, Salud Home Health and American Medical Home Health. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
