JUAN JOSE GUEVARA Juan Jose Guevara, 57, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 due to his brief battle with cancer. Mr. Guevara was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. Mr. Guevara was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was the first owner and operator of Sound Concepts Sound System established in 1974 in Laredo, Texas due to his love for music. He is preceded in death by his mother, Leonor B. Guevara. He is survived by his daughter, Sara (Roy) Arriaga. Grandchildren, Roy Arriaga, II., Kobe Arriaga and Meadow Arriaga. Father, Juan P. Guevara. Sisters, Diana (Juan) Vidaurri, Anna (Mumtaz) Ali and Patricia (Ray) Hollister. Brothers, Raul Guevara and Robert Guevara. Former Spouse, Rosa M. Guevara. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. A special heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Carlos Llanes, Laredo Medical Center and Staff. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
