Obituary

JUAN "SPIDER" HERRERA JR. Juan Herrera Jr., 57, was called into our heavenly kingdom on Friday, August 16, 2013. He was born on November 14, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas but resided in Laredo for most of his life. He graduated from J.W. Nixon High School on 1975. Juan was a loving husband, devoted father to his daughters and a great Papa to his grandchildren. He was a very happy, outgoing person. He would always make people laugh no matter what the situation was. It was never a dull or quiet moment with him. He is better known as Spider to many of his friends. Juan was a Laboratory Tech. at Laredo Medical Center for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his daughter Claudia Yvette Herrera. Parents, Juan and San Juana Herrera. Brother Gilberto Herrera, Sister Gloria Salazar and father-in-law Pedro De Luna. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sara Herrera. Daughters Claudia (Jacob Juarez), Sandra Yvette (Jorge) Montes, Sara Elisa (lldefonso) Ortiz, San Juanita and Sonia Clarissa Herrera. Grandchildren, Jennifer Aurora and lldefonso Ortiz Jr. Sister Rosalinda (Pedro) Sanchez Brothers, David (Rosa), Jose Maria (Margarita), Antonio (Dolores) and Armando (Melissa) Herrera. Mother-in-law Aurora De Luna, Sister-in-law Tommie (Jose +) Navarro and brother-in-law Pedro (Santa) De Luna Jr. Along with numerous of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The Herrera family will like to thank his doctors Dr. Norberto Alvarez and Dr. Peter Gno. Special thanks to Manuel Guillen and Liz Juarez for helping us throught these years. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chaples, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. on August 20, 2013 from the funeral chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
