Juan Medina Jr.'s Obituary
JUAN MEDINA JR.
Juan Medina Jr., 87, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mr. Medina was born in Laredo Texas and had been a life long resident.
For many years, Mr. Medina provided services to the City of Laredo as a local fireman and retired after a successful career.
He loved serving his community and always enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
He was a friend to all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Medina Sr. and Francisca D. Medina.
Brother, Oscar Medina.
Sister, Esperanza Gamez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 67 years of marriage, Antonia S. Medina.
Children, San Juana (Enrique) Lopez, Yolanda (Juan) Vasquez, Jorge Medina, Ana Carrillo, Juan (Priscilla) Medina III and Mario (Imelda) Medina.
Grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sister, Lucila Calderon.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
