JUAN MIGUEL MEZA BARRERA
Juan Miguel Meza Barrera, a lifelong resident of Laredo, TX, passed away on
March 17, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Juan was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
He was married to his loving wife of 34 years, Eudoxia Meza. They previously lived and
worked near Miami, FL before they decided to raise their three sons, in
Laredo, TX.
Juan loved to visit the beach and road trip with his family. Some of his
family's most precious memories of him are during the times they visited
Miami, FL where they would visit the beach, the Miami Zoo, and Walt Disney
World. Mr. Meza enjoyed visiting South Padre Island, as it was his favorite
place to be. Mr. Meza loved to be surrounded by his family and love to tell
people about how much he enjoyed it by always capturing candid photos for
his keeping and to post for his friends to enjoy.
Juan enjoyed listening to cumbias and classic old school love songs. Mr.
Meza had an interest in the topics of Mexican and America History. His
favorite past times were spending time with his dog Max, reading the
newspaper every morning with a cup of coffee, and eating his all-time
favorite dishes: Menudo, Pozole, and Barbacoa.
Juan is survived by his wife, Eudoxia R. Meza, and his children: Miguel Angel
Meza (Monica Flores), Rogelio Meza, and Ronaldo Meza (Morgan Nava-
Munoz). Grandchildren include Chloe Catalina Meza and Miguel Angel Meza
Jr. His mother, Josefa Barrera Soto, and siblings, Maria De Jesus Cervantes
(Norberto Cervantes), Maria Guadalupe Barrera, Maria Del Carmen
"Carmela" Juarez (Jesus Juarez), Jose Luis Meza, Nora Alicia Hernandez
(Juan Zuniga) along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Juan Miguel Meza Barrera was preceded in death by his Father, Jesus Meza
and brothers, Alejandro Valenzuela and Andres Hernandez.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Rogelio Meza, Ronaldo Meza, Morgan Nava, Miguel Meza, Betin Cervantes, David Campos, Damian Alaniz and Edgar Cervantes.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Melissa Juarez, Carmen Juarez, David Campos, Edgar Cervantes, Michael Gonzalez, Hector Balderas and Damian Alaniz.

Juan disfrutaba escuchando cumbias y canciones de amor clásicas de la vieja escuela. El Señor
Meza tenía interés en los temas de la Historia de México y Estados Unidos. Su
pasatiempos favoritos eran pasar tiempo con su perro Max, leer el
periódico todas las mañanas con una taza de café y comiendo su bebida de todos los tiempos.
Platos favoritos: Menudo, Pozole y Barbacoa.
A Juan le sobreviven su esposa, Eudoxia R. Meza, y sus hijos: Miguel Angel
Meza (Mónica Flores), Rogelio Meza y Ronaldo Meza (Morgan Nava-
Muñoz). Sus nietos incluyen a Chloe Catalina Meza y Miguel Angel Meza.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el martes 19 de marzo de 2024 de 4 p.m. a 9 p.m. y se llevará a cabo una vigilia de los difuntos, oficiada por el Rev. Diácono Penunuri, a las 7 p.m. en Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. en San Bernardo Ave. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán saliendo de la funeraria a las 8:30 a. m. del miércoles 20 de marzo de 2024. La Santa Misa se celebrará a las 9 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica San Luis Rey. Los servicios de sepelio se llevarán a cabo en una fecha posterior.
