Mr. Ortegon drove over 4 million miles in his 27 years of doing what he loved, on the road in his semi. When he wasn't driving he was at home spending time with his beautiful wife and grandchildren. He also loved taking random trips to casinos. Football season was his favorite season. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. No matter where he was he would always make sure to watch their games. He was a family man that enjoyed having all his family at his home every weekend where he would BBQ his specialty, smoked brisket. Mr. Ortegon was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He would give his shirt off his back for anyone. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He's now on his last ride to heaven where he'll drive on the roads of paradise. HAMMER DOWN!

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Laredo Medical Center and the staff at the ICU Covid Unit on the first floor. A special thanks goes out to Sandra and Alejandra Gonzalez, the Charge Nurses for making Mr. Ortegon's final days as comfortable as possible.
