JUAN A. VARA

Juan A. Vara, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

Mr. Vara was born in Anahuac, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Carlota Vara.

Son, Juan Antonio Vara Jr.

Sister, Irma Sanchez.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria F. Vara.

Children, Eloisa (Fernando) Gomez, Esmeralda Vara, Sandra (Juan) Santillan, Gloria Vara, Griselda Vara, Jessica Vara and Julio (Perla) Vara.

9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Brothers, Julio (Lourdes) Vara, Francisco (Marisela) Vara and Carlos Vara.

Sisters, Maria Louisa (Rodolfo) Sifuentes, Gloria Borrego, Ramona Vara and Juanita (Javier) Reyes.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Santa Rita De Casia Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Julio Vara, Juan Santillan, Juan Jose Gomez, Ronaldo Zavala, Basilio Valdez and Fernando Gomez.
