JUANA MELENDEZ DE ORTEGA

Juana Melendez De Ortega, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Mrs. Ortega was born in Sabinas, Hidalgo, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Her beloved husband, Florencio Rodriguez Ortega.

She is survived by her children, Martha Rosa (Maximiliano) Banda, Sara Alicia (Ramon) Reyes III, Nancy Ortega, Maria Guadalupe (Randy) Wood, Ricardo Ismael (Custodia) Ortega, Juan Manuel (Patricia) Ortega and Marco Antonio (Gabriela) Ortega.

20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 24, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE: Mario Ramirez Jr. and Michael Ramirez.
