JUANA D. PAREDES Juana D. Paredes, 75, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at a local hospital. Juana Paredes was born in Saltillo, Coahuila. At the age of 12 she moved with her family to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas where she was raised. She worked as a nurse in San Jose Hospital and in the Emergency Room of the Cruz Roja Hospital. She married Ruben Paredes after marriage she was a housewife and dedicated her life to her husband and all her 11 children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Paredes Sr. Mother, Maria Castillo. Brother and Sister, Fiacro Esqueda and Maria Ines Esqueda Castillo. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Ruben (Irene) Paredes Jr., Veronica (Sergio) Martinez, Adriana Paredes, Francisco Paredes, Ramiro (Maria Angelica) Paredes, Maria (Benito) Gutierrez, Hector (Leticia) Paredes, Arturo (Patricia) Paredes, Israel (Eva) Paredes, Pedro (Ana Luisa) Paredes and Andres (Veronica) Paredes. 33 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother, Segundo Esqueda Castillo. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 with a chapel service officiated by Deacon Anastacio Bernal in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
