JUANA VASQUEZ ROBLES

Juana Vasquez Robles, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 102, in Martindale, Texas.

She was born on the 27th of January in the year 1918 to Eulogio and Martina Infante Vasquez.

She was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Juana was married to Genaro Robles, Sr. at 19 years of age. They were married for 62 years. She was passionate about life and lived her whole life practicing in the Christian faith. She enjoyed singing old hymns and coritos. She lived a full life up until her final days, was on the go working in her garden, making tamales, and looking for a good bargain. Her sense of humor was like no other. There wasn't an hour that passed without her making a joke, or simply just smiling and laughing reflecting on her many years of a life well-lived.

She loved her family, all seven children, 27 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. And she had more than enough love and laughter for all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulogio and Martina Vasquez, her brother, Esteban, her sister, Consuelo Arriaga, her beloved husband, Genaro Robles and her son and daughter, Eloy Robles and Juanita R. Cisneros.

She is survived by her sister, Ester Vasquez, her children; Israel Robles, Genaro (Elidia) Robles, Jr., Abby Garza, Elva (Ruperto) Veliz, Zulema Robles, and Ramiro (Perla) Cantu.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27th, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Religious Service, officiated by Rev. Pastor Dorso Maciel, of 1st  Baptist Church, in Laredo, Texas, will be held at 7 p.m., at the Hernandez-Lopez & Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A Chapel Service, also officiated by Rev. Maciel, will be held at 10 a.m.,  on Friday, February 28, 2020. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
