Obituary

JUANITA CASAREZ

Juanita Casarez, 80, received her wings on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Jose Casarez and Maria Luisa Valle Casarez; Sister Rosa Maria Vasquez; Twin Brothers Juan Manuel and Jose Luis Casarez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Norberto (Martha) Casarez, Angel (Sandra+) Casarez, Brigido (Zulema) Perez IV, Roberto Perez, Grizelda Perez, Yvonne Yvette Perez +, and Yvette (Rafael Alvarenga) Perez. Grandchildren: Brigido Gerardo Perez, Jovany Josue Perez, Giancarlo Perez, Marco Giani Perez, Zulbri Kiana Perez, Jennifer J. Perez, Kimberly (Gustavo) Perez Vasquez, Justin B. Perez, Kryselda R. Perez and Rafael A. Alvarenga Jr., 7great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  Siblings: Jose (Linda) Casarez, and Ester (Raul) Sanchez. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

During this difficult time, we know how much it means for her friends and friends of the family to pay their respects, but the family in compliance with city orders by the Mayor of the City of Laredo and doing their part in being socially responsible; will be having a private visitation.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston, on San Bernardo Ave.

Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020.  Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church.  Committal services will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Angel Casarez, Brigido Perez IV, Martin Guerrero, Jovany Josue Perez, Giancarlo Perez, and Marco Giani Perez.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Norberto Casarez, Roberto Perez, Justin Brando Perez and Rafael A. "Tony" Alvarenga Jr.  Special thanks to Dr. Oscar Gutierrez, Dr. Chalit, Dr. Julio Zavala, Santos Garcia and LMC staff for their support and excellent care. In addition, Constable R. Rodriguez for the funeral escort services.

The family appreciates the outpouring love they have received from family and friends and wishes for everyone to stay safe.
