JUANITA LEIJA

Juanita Leija, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Mrs. Leija was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Lorenza Flores.

Her beloved husband, Ricardo Leija.

Son,  Carlos Leija.

Brother, Michael Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Juan Flores, Gerardo (Andrea) Leija and Hilda (Juan) De Luna.

15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Sisters, Minerva Quiroga, Lydia De Luna and Leonor Rodriguez.

Brother, Blas Martinez.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Following the ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:05 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
