JULIA SYLVIA GOMEZ
Julia Sylvia Gomez enter into eternal rest May 28, 2017. She was born May 25, 1955 in Laredo, Texas. She was 62 years of age. Julia was married to Oscar L. Gomez for 39 years. Together they raised 3 children. She was a dedicated wife, mother and friend.
She was employed as a sale clerk in McClelland from 1974-1988. Julia retired as an office clerk from LISD Child Nutrition Program after working there for 27 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Eva Moncivais.
Sister, Juanita I. Gomez.
Brothers, Jose L. Moncivais and Luis Moncivais Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Oscar L. Gomez.
Children, Refugio (Raquel) Gomez, Geraldine (Jose) Salas, Krystal Gomez.
Grandchildren, Justin and Jayden Gomez, Jose and Zoey Salas, Jenna and Jake Estrada.
Brothers, Facundo (Noelia) Moncivais, Hector (Norma) Moncivais and Maria E. Moncivais.
Sister-in-law, Rosa Moncivais.
Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
The Gomez's family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. J.R. Garcia, Dr. E. Miranda, Dr. R. Deliz, Dr. M. Qureshi, the intensive care unit and 4th floor staff at Doctor's Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston at San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
