JUANITA G. VELA Juanita G. Vela, 63, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 in a local hospital. Juanita G. Vela was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Maria Ferdin. Her husband, Alfredo Vela. Brother, Juan Martin Ferdin. She is survived by Veronica (Joel Martinez) Aguilera, Alfredo (Jessica) Vela Jr., Angelica (Sergio) Rivera, Ruben Vela, Vanessa (Mario) Viera. 17 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren Brother, Jose Manuel (Connie) Ferdin Also surviving her are numerous, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the City of Laredo Cemetery.
