Lazaro Herrera, 97, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at a local hospital. Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased was held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
