Leonel De
La Garza
July 9, 2025
Leonel De La Garza, entered the gates of heaven on July 9, 2025
Leonel was born on September 5, 1962 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. He was a strong and brave man who despite anything would put his family first. Leonel was a God-fearing man who served many years in the Christian church taking on a variety of roles and always being a great support to those who needed a helping hand. He was a loving husband for 45 years, spending time with his wife and making memories with her was something notable. Leonel was a great father to his 4 children, always attentive and available to them no matter what. He was also a devoted grandfather who always attended school events, games, and other activities just to see his grandchildren thrive. He recently became a great grandfather, and that was one of his biggest joys. Leonel is also remembered by all his nieces and nephews, who describe him as loving, caring, and funny. Anyone who knew him can say he was a charismatic and loyal person. Leonel was a "Gallero" at heart, taking after his father and leaving that tradition to his sons, whom he enjoyed teaching all about it. Leonel will be deeply missed and forever cherished as he lived an abundant life and impacted many throughout his journey here on Earth.
Leonel is preceded in death by his parents Leonel De La Garza Ortegon and Jovita Gutierrez, his siblings, Ruben Dario De La Garza and Rosa Rabell
