LEONOR VARGAS Leonor Vargas, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at a local hospital. Miss Vargas was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her parents, Teodoro and Lucia Vargas Brothers, Reynaldo Vargas and Jose Ramiro Vargas She is surviving by her brothers, Fausto (Rose) Vargas and Ruben D. Vargas Sister, Gloria E. (Jesus D.) Sotelo Sister-in-law, Norma Vargas Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5,2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Agustin Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
