LIDIA AVALOS Lidia Avalos, 57, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Avalos was born Villa De Hidalgo, Coah. Mexico and lived most of her life in Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by son Carlos Avalos, Jr., Sister, Juana Rios and her parents Federico and Antonio Rios. She is survived by her loving husband, of 33 years of marriage, Carlos Avalos. Her children Lydia Lizette (Arturo) Trevino, Veronica Cristina Avalos and Juan Carlos Avalos. 2 grandchildren: Carolina Isabel Trevino and Dianna Alexandra Trevino. Her brothers and sisters: Amparo Arce, Victor Rios, Socorro (Alonzo) Rodriguez, Candelario Rios, Marta (Manuel) Martinez and Federico Rios. Also nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014. departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
