LUCIA CABALLERO AMEZCUA

Lucia passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born on October 18 ^th , 1930 in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas Mexico and became a naturalized US citizen. She was married to Anarco Amezcua Carrizalez (Deceased) for over 37 years. She lived on Houston street since 1977. She worked for the Volz and Martin Families since 1960.

She is survived by her only son, Dr. Jesus Juan Amezcua and his wife Ramona Amezcua.

She had three grandchildren Jesus Juan Jr. & his wife Jill, Josiane Mone and Jonny Pascoe, and Sabrina Lucia and Michael Garrett.

She had one great grandchild (4 yrs.) Mona Millay Garrett.

Lucia loved to spend time with the family and friends, gardening and enjoyed a good baseball game on TV. Lucia loved cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with family members and friends. She loved her family and always maintained contact with everyone. Her love for family extended to her sister Juana and the Castano Family, the Gonzalez Family, the Amezcua Family, the Caballero Family, the Martinez Family, and the Manzo Family. There were very special families in her life like the members of the Volz, Martin and Zuck Families, the members of the Arredondo and Casarez & Families, and her caretakers Mari and Ricarda and the Salud Home Health.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be officiated by Deacon Leonardo Aguillon at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held at a later date.
